Herbal mixture for natural cleansing – original herbal composition
Six herbal raw materials in one recipe
Here is an original herbal mixture in which we combined six herbal raw materials with a long tradition of use in European phytotherapy. The recipe was created by herbalists and pharmacists.
Mixture composition:
- Mint leaf (Mentha piperita) – raw material with a European Medicines Agency monograph on traditional use. Mint essential oils have been used for centuries in mixtures supporting digestive comfort.
- Tanasy herb (Tanacetum vulgare) – a raw material with a long tradition in European folk phytotherapy. Used for short periods and only as directed.
- Wormwood herb (Artemisia absinthium) – a raw material with an EMA monograph on traditional use in mixtures supporting digestive comfort. It is characterized by an intensely bitter taste.
- Thyme leaf (Thymus vulgaris) – raw material with EMA monograph. Rich in essential oils, including thymol.
- Ginger rhizome (Zingiber officinale) – raw material with EMA monograph. It has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese traditions for centuries.
- Marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis) – raw material with an EMA monograph. Traditionally used to support digestive comfort and soothe mucous membranes.
Mixture characteristics
The mixture combines bitter and aromatic herbal raw materials. The bitterness of wormwood and tansy is a classic element of traditional herbal mixtures in European phytotherapy. Ginger, garlic and thyme provide aromatic value and are among the best-studied herbal raw materials.
How to use
- Measure one teaspoon of the mixture.
- Pour hot (not boiling) water and cover and brew for 5-10 minutes.
- Drink the infusion once a day, short-term (up to 7-14 days), then take a break.
⚠️ Important warnings and contraindications
- Short-term use – due to the content of wormwood and tansy (they contain thujone), the mixture is not suitable for long-term use.
- Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Do not use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
- Do not use in case of epilepsy, liver or kidney conditions or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (especially Asteraceae).
- Do not exceedthe recommended period of use (max. 14 days).
- If you are taking medications, especially antiepileptic, anticoagulant or liver-affecting medications, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
- If parasitosis is suspected, it is recommended to consult a doctor and perform diagnostic tests.
