Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) – properties, use and action

I guess each of us knows (and likes ;)) the fruits visible in the photo, which are inextricably associated with summer and holidays. It is, of course, a garden raspberry, which is a perennial plant that occurs quite commonly in the lowlands and mountains, up to the mountain pine zone, in Europe and parts of Asia. It is mainly bred for its fruit, but other parts of this plant are also worth using for their health-promoting properties, e.g. raspberry leaf.

Medicinal raw material

The medicinal raw materials used are Rubi Ideai folium raspberry leaf and Rubi Ideai fructus raspberry fruit, usually harvested in July. Fresh raspberries can be used to prepare raspberry juice, syrup or other preserves. Raspberries are also very often eaten raw due to their taste.
These raw materials, both fruits and leaves, can be taken from both plants living in the natural environment and cultivated plants.
